Summer 2008 JYC Cruise Report
On Wednesday, we had a very relaxing
informal cruising meeting outside, at the Trattoria.
The ideas talked about were the
following;
June 21/22.
Midsummer weekend cruise/race to
Block Island.
Informal "race" as you go over.
Leg 1. As you past due east of the green bouy just east of Clingstone, record
your time, and then as you cross a line running southeast from Point Judith
light, record your time.
Leg 2. Start is the finish time of
leg one, and then record finish time as you round the entrance buoy to Great
Salt pond, Block Island.
We'll use PHRF - or assign ratings,
and work out a leg 1, leg 2 and combined winner over there.
I can do this date, and am happy to
organize it.
July 11/12
On the JYC calendar - we have this
date posted also for a Block Island cruise. I cannot do this date - so would
need someone else to take the lead here. If the desire to do another location
instead, then , of course, that’s fine!
any ideas or suggestions - please
contact me, and we can see what develops.
Annual cruise.
The calendar dates are 19th - 27th
July.
2 options are suggested.
Option 1. The CYC cruise is the
same week, and there is an offer by CYC to combine it with JYC- .
