The Jamestown Yacht Club is now accepting applications for its Joshua\u2019s Memorial Sailing Scholarship which is eligible for children between the ages of 8 \u2013 16 yrs.
The $500 scholarship will finance sailing lessons for a child who would like to enjoy the ocean as much as Joshua did.<\/p>\n
A short statement of no more than 100 words should be written by the applicant to why sailing lessons are desired. A letter of recommendation, preferably from a current teacher, school administrator, coach or mentor, is also suggested.

The Jamestown Yacht Club was founded in 1977. Along with sponsoring this scholarship, the Club has an active cruising program, offers racing events for both members and non-members, and has been the primary sponsor for the annual Fool\u2019s Rules Regatta for more than 40 years.<\/p>\n
