A best practice might be to leave your membership card onboard to make scanning easy.

A few other reminders for anyone using the JYC Mooring on Block Island this summer:

You must fly your JYC burgee in a visible location when on the mooring. If you don’t know where your burgee is, please order a new one.

There is a 3 boat raft limit on the mooring at all times.

When on the mooring, you should always set out fenders and have lines ready for another boat, especially if you plan to go ashore or be away from your boat. Tying off to someone else’s boat can be a challenge without having fixed lines available to use.

The town does not rent out club moorings but will utilize them in an emergency. If you see a boat without a JYC burgee on our mooring which you don’t recognize, you may contact the Harbormaster on VHF Ch-12 to inquire if the boat is a JYC member. The Harbormaster has a complete list of our members.

If there is impending weather and you are advised to relocate, it is a $55/night fee to be on a town mooring and $60/night fee for a private mooring for the 2023 season. This is based on availability. The Harbormaster monitors VHF Ch-12 24/7 Memorial Day to Labor Day.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

JYC is pleased to offer complimentary use of a two moorings as part of your membership.
