Jamestown Yacht Club
The Jamestown Yacht Club (JYC) is a family-oriented yacht club centered around the Conanicut Marina. Our PHRF racing program is one of the best on Narragansett Bay. There are both Spinnaker and Non-spinnaker classes. The crew rotation is held annually. We have numerous social events including dark and stormy night, winter dinner, annual awards dinner and pop up boat meet ups. We also host many educational events for our members to learn more about boating, boat maintenance, and long distance cruising.
Fools Rules Regatta

The 46th Fools’ Rules Regatta will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 on the Town Beach, East Ferry in Jamestown, R.I. with the rain date the following day. The cannon will be fired at 9:00 AM to begin construction of the “vessels.” Entrants are allowed two hours to construct a sailing craft (course is down-wind) on the beach, which must be made of non-marine items only. The craft may be pre-constructed, but must be disassembled and built again on the beach. Races begin at 11:00 AM with the firing of a cannon marking the start of the Class 1 race.

JYC Racing three series of racing. We have Spring, Summer and Fall Series. We offer both Spinnaker and non-spinnaker classes. Browse our racing program.
Cruising
JYC offers all kinds of cruising. We have a traditional summer cruise. We also have pop-up get togethers. Also, if a member is travelling to a cruise destination, there are opportunities to join along. Cruising is a great way to meet other members, travel our waters, and increase your cruising skills.
