JYC Club Cruise – Summer 25

Our JYC summer cruise this year is heading east to Provincetown.

JYC members enjoy the advantages of an extended network of friendly sailors on the southern bay.

Organized activities include annual group cruises (1 or 2 weeks), long weekend or holiday regional gatherings, and informal rendezvous opportunities, and a winter dinner.

Cruises offer detailed itineraries with the chance to join for a few days, the whole cruise, or to come and go to facilitate personal side trips.

Happy Hours, dockside dinners, and other group activities such as museum visits or hikes are incorporated along the way.

The cruise activity we all look forward to is the Fools Rule Race, where each boat is given a bag of miscellaneous materials and instructed to build a toy boat.

The boat crews then gather on a beach to race their boats – it is tons of fun.

We also have had a scavenger hunt at one of our stops along with winery meet-ups.

The itinerary for 2025

July 16 Cuttyhunk

July 17 Vineyard Haven – for 2 nights

July 19 Kingman’s – Redbrook Harbor

Some boats want to go outside – July 19 Chatham

July 20 – 23 Provincetown – cruise dinner 7/22

July 23 Onset

July 24 Padanaram – New Bedford YC

July 25 Jamestown

This year we have 19 boats on the cruise, our biggest so far.

4 boats will be continuing on from PT to head north to Maine for 4 weeks.

Past destinations have included the Long Island Sound – Mystic, Essex, Shelter Island, Buzzards Bay, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.

Our cruises are very casual with some boats coming and leaving the cruise at different times.  We always have a cruise dinner get together

on one night, and many Happy Hours on different boats each night.
